In 2008 GY5 was awarded full School FEAST membership as a lead partner. This entailed teaming up with FE and HE partners in the delivery of Professional Cookery training as well as a wide range of technical courses including: Healthy Food and Special Diets, Food Hygiene (levels 2-4): both with the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH- to which GY5 is a registered centre)
As part of GY5’s promotional launch it provided schools and caterers with a FEAST Box- full of essentials for the kitchen; from knives to branded aprons as well as a professional stick blender and versatile utility box!
Schools who run their own kitchens benefited from this enormously and enjoyed what amounted to be FULLY funded training for the main courses offered!
