After some years of considerable investment and effort GY5 was awarded with a recognition of its work in promoting and supporting the School FEAST programme with the Children’s Food Trust (Previously School Food Trust) that set up School FEAST. (Food Excellence and Skills Training, by the way!)
This allowed GY5 to meet and work with education and training experts in school meals nationwide. These relationships continue today with shared innovations and problem solving on-going.
GY5 is very proud of this association and has witnessed some excellent training outcomes that has catapulted kitchen crews into the limelight with various awards from Train to Gain to foundation degrees awarded to those who continue with their learning.
Indeed this has been the MOST successful training campaign in school meals!
